The Gastein waterfall is one of the most famous waterfalls in Austria and is the landmark of Bad Gastein . The waterfall is located in the center of Bad Gastein and has been the subject of many famous painters and poets. The drop height of the Gasteiner Ache in three stages is about 340 m.
Der Gasteiner Hoehenweg has great views and sun connect the beautifully landscaped path, always on the western edge of the trail leading along Gamskarkogel to Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein. The most beautiful way to reach the Höhenweg from Bad Hofgastein leads from the parish church past the cemetery, through Marienwald forest to Café Gamskar.
